Perfect Season Sends Hounds to District 10 Playoffs

The Wilmington Greyhounds will head to Slippery Rock University on Saturday, November 11, as the PIAA Region 3 Champions playing in the District 10 AA football playoffs. The 7 p.m. kickoff with the Corry High School Beavers comes after the Hounds completed a perfect season on Friday night.

Wilmington defeated the Moniteau Warriors 41-13 wrapping up the regular season. The big highlight of Wilmington's season ender came after the game. That's when the team and fans honored Coach Terry Verelli's 28 years of dedication and service to the team. They surrounded him with family, friends, former players and his current team to honor him for coaching more than 200 wins for Wilmington. With Wilmington ranked eighth in the state's AA division, Verelli hopes to lead his team into another chance at the PIAA playoffs.

WCN & Titan Radio bring you the highlights of that special ceremony for Coach Verelli you can watch right here. WCN & Titan Radio will also bring you complete coverage from this weekend's playoff game.
