Wilmington Headed to Another Round of Playoffs

The Wilmington Greyhounds tamed the Sharon Tigers for the second time this season with a score of 35-7 in a playoff match up Saturday in Slippery Rock. Wilmington will now face another team of Tigers, Fairview High School in the District 10 championship game. This game is also semi-finals to see which team will head to the state championship game in Hershey.

The Hounds defeated Sharon in round two of playoff action at SRU's N. Kerr Thompson Stadium. That's where the Hounds return at the end of this week to face Fairview. The 10-1 Fairview team from Erie County easily defeated Grove City over the weekend in a score of 32-7.

Coach Terry Verelli looks to keep the Greyhound winning season rolling through the semi-finals for a chance at the D-10 AA Championship game scheduled for the first weekend in December.
