Wilmington Greyhounds Move on to PIAA Football Semi-finals

A SPECIAL GREYHOUND ROUNDUP with DJ YOKLEY

The Greyhounds move on down the road to the football championship in Hershey by defeating Bishop-McCort in a PIAA Class AA quarterfinal matchup at Slippery Rock University Friday night. Wilmington faced the bitter cold, high winds and the Crimson Crushers from the Johnstown area who seemed to have the biggest players of any opponent the Hounds faced this year. Jake Reiber scored on a one yard TD in the second quarter. Chris Burns scored on a 66 yard dash to take the Hounds to a 13-6 victory.

Wilmington now faces WPIAL champion Jeannette High School in next week's Class AA semifinals. PIAA officials have yet to announce the date and time of that game. Look for Titan Radio's special Greyhound Roundup with DJ Yokley later in the weekend here on www.titanradi.net.

Big Reds Squeak Out 12-8 Victory Over Coudersport
West Middlesex will move on to the PIAA Class A semi-finals next week after defeating Coudersport Friday night at Clarion University. The game went down to the wire with a 'Hail Mary' that will keep West Middlesex alive in the playoffs. The Big Reds meet WPIAL champion Clairton next weekend.
